Having practiced as a clinical dietitian since 2003 and a sports performance nutritionist since 2010 I have a great passion for anything food related! I have 15 years experience across a wide variety of clinical specialities and industry; including diabetes, weight management, bariatric surgery, eating disorders, gastroenterology, IBS, oncology, sports medicine and nutrition support. I have been privileged to work as a specialist in many different teams including the work I do with young athletes in the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sports Excellence (AASE) programme supported by Sport England. This includes working alongside sports psychologists and coaches for different sport bodies such as British Athletics, England Hockey and Netball. I love to continue to learn; continuing to keep up to date and attend regular conferences, meetings and clinical supervision. I am planning to complete my MSc in the coming year. Outside of my clinical role I am a competitive endurance triathlete and have represented GB age groups on long course triathlons. I have always taken a keen interest in sports and this led me to qualify as a personal trainer and exercise to music instructor and qualify as an ISAK anthropometrist. I continue to be passionate about how food and nutrition affect performance, metabolism, gastrointestinal comfort and body composition. I have wealth of experience and understanding about the fine balance of nutrition and hydration for health, well-being and sports performance. I can help you to achieve your goals whether it is providing practical evidence-based dietary advice for specific medical conditions or to help you claim the winning edge to fulfil your sporting potential.
